The one thing I forgot to say in my last post about food is that we don’t like lettuce. I listed the most important dark greens to feed us in that post. But a lot of people think that just because romaine lettuce or fancy greens are good in a human salad, that they must be good for us as well. Unfortunately, that’s not true. Any green that has lettuce in the name is not going to have enough calcium or vitamins in it for us to live on. It sure does taste good and if mom is eating a salad, I’d be happy if she shared some. But as a main dietary food, it’s just not enough.
